Now that I'm securely in the second trimester, I can breathe a little easier. I was leery to make a blog site until I made it past 16 weeks. I had some minor complications and was worried I would loose the baby. But after some bed rest, strict instructions and some pampering from Cameron, everything is looking good again. My appetite is back. I am able to work 40+ hours a week. Although I am extremely tired a lot. Which makes my urge to cook home made meals, very little. Being on my feet is not a favorite. Lots of swelling a puffiness just after a short bit. No lifting over 10 pounds. Being pregnant and diabetic is no easy job.
So far, Lilianna has had 4 ultrasounds! First at 9 weeks. Then at 13 weeks. Again at 15 weeks (at an ER visit...) and most recently at 16 weeks(doctor guessed it's a girl at this one) . We go in for a 3d level 2 diagnostic ultrasound on December 3rd. That ultrasound will measure her limbs, growth of organs, blood flow and gender. We will get a detailed picture of our little girl and get to watch her squirm around for a hour! Daddy and I are really looking forward to this.
