Last Wednesday we had a routine growth ultrasound, clinic visit and another fetal echocardiogram with Dr.Kazmouz. The last week before the hectic doctors visit schedule starts! This visit started out with a growth ultrasound. I allowed a student stenographer to learn a thing or two on Lilianna and myself. She was a tad bit heavy handed and really had no clue what she was doing- but she was being instructed by a seasoned ultrasound tech (Kristi), and after 40 minutes of being a calm and quiet test subject, Kristi jumped in and did all the correct measurements and wrapped up the ultrasound. Our little bean went from 35th percentile to 57th percentile in two weeks!!!! She's growing SO fast. Her cerebellum is now within normal range and everything is measuring normally for her gestation. We're very relieved. She is weighing in at 3lbs 12oz and is 17 inches long. And because I was such a good sport for letting someone learn on me- Kristi surprised me with a level 2 ultrasound picture (3d image)!!! I got to see our little princess making facial expressions, move her hands and turn her head. It was magical. She only behaved for one printable picture, but it's the most magical picture we have yet! She looks exactly like Cameron. Her angry little face is the same one he makes when he gets frustrated. It's awesome. Some people think she has my nose- but I think she is 100% daddy's clone. Hopefully she resembles me SOMEWHAT after birth, I was one cute little girl!
Lilianna's second echocardiogram went well too. Dr.Kazmouz is impressed with her strength (she always kicks so hard at the ultrasound wand, it moves his hand). She has a strong and healthy heart. No concerns so far. She will have another fetal echocardiogram next month.
This Wednesday, we have an elective level 2 ultrasound in South Elgin. Cameron, My Mom, Cameron's parents and sister and Lily's God Mother Lis are coming too! I'll be positing some pretty amazing pictures after that! I also posted 2 regular profile ultrasounds from last week's visit as well, in the pictures tab. Check em out!
