Well today has been eventful...I have been suffering from a headache for 10 days and last night started getting pain on my left side. I went into work, called my OB's office when they opened and asked what to do. They said to come in immediately. Which, from my office, is an hour and a half drive. So, I headed home to grab Cameron. We then headed to RMH to see Dr.Briggs. I was hooked up to a monitoring machine for 45 minutes to make sure Lilianna wasn't in distress and I wasn't contracting. All checked out well on those fronts (thank God!). My blood pressure was 128/69. But my blood sugars have been running extremely dangerously low the last few days. So, the OB concluded the low BG is causing my headache. So, Janet (the awful Diatitian from MFM) has been discharged from my case due to mismanagement of my insulin pump and putting lilianna and I in danger from not following doctors orders. And Dr.Valika and Dr.Malalis are to be my sole insulin/diabetes management from here on out. Hopefully those BG numbers will be on the up swing in the coming days!! As for the pain, it's not something they can pin point right now. But the big things have been ruled out. So, I have another appointment next Wednesday and if the pain is still there they will do more tests. Instructions from Dr.Briggs is to rest, eat more, keep stress minimal and keep close eye on my blood sugar.
I'm working from home the remainder of the day and resting on the couch. I contacted the appropriate parties to deligate some tasks to those who are qualified to do them, so the stress at work can be kept minimal. We have a couple house guests for the next week so I have extra help with cleaning and maintaining the house. Cameron has been so good at making sure I keep hydrated and snacking throughout the day. He made me the BEST hot peach tea today.
I'm so relieved our little princess is healthy and doing well in my belly. She was very active during our monitoring secession today. Brought tears to my eyes. I'm doing everything I can to keep her safe and in my protective womb as long as possible!!
Oh, and I forgot to mention- all of the tests we had done (TORCH and chromosome 21) all came out negative!!! No toxoplasmosis and no chromosomal disorders. It also confirmed 99.9% that's she's a girl. So, thank you for the prayers and positive vibes!
